What can I do with my deadbeat knitting project?

Posted on August 29th, 2009 by admin

I have a 10.5w x 7h patch of knitted yarn. At first I was going to make a wide scarf out of it, but that’s kind of boring and I have enough scarves as it is. So I was wondering if I could just get some tips as to what I should either turn it into or start from scratch and just unravel it. Also, if someone could recommend a good knitting pattern site, that’d be rad! Thanks!

I usually go to Bev’s Country Cottage
http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/patterns.html

Also Lion Brand has a lot of patterns and they are ALL free now.

Klassé sewing machine needles

Posted on August 28th, 2009 by admin

All Klassé needles go through 155 quality checks, earning the industry’s highest quality rating for: stability at high speeds, seam appearance, clean stitch holes, and precise and uniform stitchability. A unique curved design at the critical clearance-above-the-eye (CAE) stress point distributes pressure equally and makes Klassé needles much stronger than conventional flat CAE needles. Tattooing Last of the KALINGA tattooist Part 1

Posted on August 28th, 2009 by admin

Me and a few of the tribe members of TATAK NG APAT NA ALON TRIBE. along with WHANG-OD the last of the tattooist of the kalinga or in general of northern luzon that practices the old way.. it was really a great honor because we were there at the diddiga festival with LARS who also is a friend of ours and did the show TATTOO HUNTER on discovery channel with WHANG-OD. and so it was a great honor for me for her to ask me to tattoo her when she is the LAST tattooist in the region and the master, like a master passing the blessing onto an apprentice…. so it was so great..

and she took it like a CHAMP!!! and was not moving at all… and the tool i was using was a bamboo and from Benguet by the the ibaloi tribe the bottom part of it is shaped like a SNAKE’s head and the mouth of the snake is where the needles go.. so the HSSS!! of the snake is when you get blessing or tattoo of the warrior symbols of our fallin ancestors.. (of course if any one wanted to know it is not recycled the TOOL it is brand new always and made again and again i replicated the shape so that the symblism can still be powerful when someone is getting tattooed)
