    I slip the first stitch because that makes a cleaner salvage with no bumps. You would slip the first stitch on the purl row as well.

    When I did my first videos I didn’t want to confuse people by slipping the first stitch since they are just learning how to knit, but I always do slip the first stitch so on my later videos that’s what you see.

    In this video you slipped the first stitch on your last k2, p2 row, and then you cast off. But in your “How to Knit: Rib Stitch” video, you didn’t slip the first stitch in the row.
    Can you explain why there’s a difference? I’m new to knitting and need all the help and explaining I can get! :)
