Tablet weaving on a Schacht Flip rigid heddle loom

An introduction to setting up the Schacht Flip rigid heddle loom for tablet weaving. Using the direct warping/continuous warp method and an unbroken length of yarn, the Flip can be easily warped and used to maintain tension on the warp strands for weaving long, dense bands of fabric without the use of C-clamps or an inkle loom. Using handpainted yarn allows for an unexpected but beautiful result when card weaving.

Weaving Cloth part 2 details of the cloth growing on the loom

Here are further details for Matthew on weaving the coverlet – this video is not done with a stationary camera so you can see the cloth growing on the loom as I throw the shuttle each time. It also shows me advancing the warp and changing yarn on the shuttle when I run out of pattern yarn.
